As 2015 continues to progress, many people are realizing that they haven't kept their commitment to get healthier in the new year. If this is your current dilemma, you don't have to allow the problem to fester any longer. Instead, implement some or all of the following three simple strategies to start getting healthy immediately:

1. Start Making Smoothies.

The single most important key to optimizing health is making positive changes in your diet. Yet many people fail to do so. Although there are many reasons why people choose not to optimizing their diet, one of the primary factors is the perception that healthy food does not taste good. Yet nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, there are a plethora of great-tasting healthy foods out there, including smoothies. Whether you're into the taste of fresh fruit like raspberries, peanut butter, or something different, you can pop healthy foods into a blender such as the Vitamix and easily get in a plethora of valuable vitamins and nutrients that will make you look and feel incredible. You can find a plethora of absolutely amazing Vitamix smoothie recipes by visiting great websites such as

2. Hire A Trainer.

Outside of positively modifying your diet, one of the most important things to do in order to get healthy is exercise. In many cases, people neglect to develop and adhere to an exercise program because they feel they don't know what they're doing. If this is the case for you, it's important to note that hiring a trainer can be the solution to your problem. In general, personal trainers develop extensive education and experience in the fitness industry so that they can provide clients with detailed, customized exercise programs that will help them accomplish any and every health objective they have. You can typically find a great trainer by visiting your local gym or doing a simple online search.

3. Create SMART Goals.

One of the reasons people fail to accomplish their health goals is because they do not write them down. Avoid this oversight by creating clear, concise SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Time-Specific) goals. An example of a great SMART goal would be "I will do thirty-five minutes of cardiovascular exercise on the bike each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in order to lose two pounds per week."

If you're serious about getting healthy this year, you should know that doing so doesn't have to be an arduous task. To get off to a great start, begin implementing the simple health optimization strategies discussed above. Good luck!
