One of the many things that happened while we were on spring break was that my Sweet Baby Girl turned 11 yes E-L-E-V-E-N!!!
I am having a hard time wrapping my head around that one. We celebrated her birthday at least three maybe four different times while on break so I was surprised when we came back and she decided she needed to bring cupcakes to school and celebrate yet again.
I know you're thinking, "of course she needs to bring cupcakes to school!" But seriously, we celebrated a million different ways and it was over a week after her actual birthday had passed and she had been back in school for a day or two already and oh yeah - did I mention I was sick with the worst cold ever and Hubby was out of town. And she brought up the fact that she needed cupcakes for the next day at 6 o'clock at night.
Homemade was not happening and I told her to check the pantry and wished her good luck.
She was very lucky - look what she found!
Thanks you so much General Mills & Betty Crocker for sending me this great mix and frosting to sample! What better way to welcome spring, and celebrate Sweet Girl's 11th than with this all-new Watermelon Cake & Frosting -- available only at Target! Talk about lucky right? And get this - this made exactly 24 cupcakes and she has 24 kids in her class...hmmm should have played the lottery that day. Watermelon Cupcakes to the rescue - right?
I brought my sorry sick self to hand deliver these to the kids during their lunch break yesterday and I instantly became so popular- I am pretty sure I promised a few other classes I would be bringing back more for them to sample as well....true story! *Note to self print coupons and run to Target to get a few more boxes and containers.
And before I finish this post, I need to mention the frosting, as soon as you open the container the aroma of sweet watermelon hits you right away (in a very good way.)
