Sausage Balls - My Kid Made These
I use to post recipes that I made with my kids all the time, that was kind of the premise of my blog for a while. But as my kids get older, they just don't seem to want to experiment in the kitchen as much. So when they find something they want to make and ask if I can help them I am always eager to get in the kitchen and get cooking with them (before they change their minds.)
At Sweet Girls Holiday party this year two parents sent in Sausage Balls, and one Sweet Girl gobbled them up. As soon as we got home she asked if we could make them. Yes!! I had just seen a recipe for Easy Sausage Balls on My Blessed Life's blog and I knew it was one my girl could make on her own. Well, she did make these on her own and they were so good. We have a variety of great mustards in the house so we served up a few for dipping. She was so happy with her creation she made them again a few weeks later. The second time she got a bit creative and turned them into sausage balls to serve with sauce over pasta. She added some herbs and changed the cheese. I'm so thrilled to see her back in the kitchen....enjoy!!
recipe from My Blesses Life
2 cups Bisquick
1 pound of bulk sausage
1 cup cheddar cheese
Preheat oven to 350.
Mix up the three ingredients, it will seem dry but just keep working it.
Shape the mixture into balls, about an inch in thickness.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, until crispy and brown.
One year ago I made Baked Apple Oatmeal Muffins.
Two years ago I made Slow Cooker Gumbo.
Three years ago I made a Yarn Wreath.
