S'mores "Cheese Ball"

I know everyone is posting some awesome recipes for Superbowl Sunday.  I love a good dip and I have collected quite a few to try out for the game.  But - let's face it - you need something sweet out there too, right?  And since everyone else is going to be bringing the chicken wings and the guacamole why not show up with a little something different.  Believe me, everyone will be happy you did.

I love these sweet versions of a "Cheese Ball,"  a few months back I posted a Peanut Butter Cheese Ball.  And it was a hit, I actually made it a few more times.  My Pinterest board  has quite a few sweet treats that I have been collecting and few different "cheese balls" that I need to try.  But for a get together not too long ago I opted to try this delicious S'mores Cheese Ball from Taste and Tell.  Well, I made it and I tasted it and I am hear to tell you that it is a winner with both the adults and the kids.

recipe from Taste and Tell
Ingredients:
8 ounces of cream cheese (room temp)
1/2 cup of butter (room temp)
1 1/2 cups of dry chocolate cake mix
2 tablespoons of brown sugar
1/2 cup of powdered sugar
2 1/2 cups of mini marshmallows
3 graham crackers, broken into crumbs
crackers for serving; graham crackers, animal crackers, etc.

Directions:
In your mixer, beat together the cream cheese and butter until smooth.  Add in the cake mix and the sugars and combine until smooth.
Dump this mixture out onto a piece pf plastic wrap and wrap it up into a ball. Place in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
Place the crushed graham crackers on a plate and after unwrapping the "cheese ball" roll it in the crumbs to cover it completely.
Serve with crackers for dipping.

  3. I always show up with sweets so yes yes yes! Love the sound of this s'mores ball! The only danger would be that I'd dig into it before I even got to the party!
