Vegetable Crudite - Christmas Style

I love to play with my food!  This colorful, tasty and healthy appetizer is sure to be a huge hit at your holiday gatherings.  I always look for the crudite platter when I am at a get-together, I try to fill my plate with a lot of my favorite vegetables and then a taste of the other wonderful treats that are out too.

At our get-together, we had two of these out -this one was all vegetables and the other one, that I can't seem to find a picture of, had some olive ornaments thrown in.  You can get as creative as you want with this by adding cheese, fruit and just about any assortment of vegetables you have.  I am sure there are a million different versions out on the web.  This is my version and it was so much fun to create.  Like I said -I love to play with my food! Cooking and crafting are my two favorite things.  It's definitely a ton of fun when I get to do them both at the same time.

Word of warning, when people start enjoying your tree and it starts to no longer look like a beautifully decorated Christmas tree - just know that it's OK! Or better yet - walk away!  Or am I the only one that can become a little too attached to their crafty-tasty creations? If that's the case ignore this paragraph and please don't think I'm a bit odd.

I am not going to give you an exact recipe for this, if you want to recreate my tree you will need broccoli, cauliflower, grape tomatoes, snow peas, green peppers and pretzels (the star on top is a piece of yellow cheese.) Or just go ahead and create!

If you make one of your own I would love to see it!
