What You Can Find at Vitacost + Apple Cinnamon Steel Cut Oats

I bet you thought Vitacost was just an online vitamin shop right?  I think a lot of people think that.  Vitacost actually has a lot more than just vitamins and supplements in their inventory.  I had the opportunity to review a nice assortment of their products recently.  And I am happy to share my thoughts with you all.

My products included, makeupeye cream, a food scale, Chia Seeds and of course, my favorite thing ever, Steel Cut Oats.

I definitely loved and would recommend all these great products, but as you all know by now, I love some Oats!  I had actually never made these Red Mill Steel Cut Oats before and was excited to try them out!  The kids helped in the taste testing and we tried them a variety of ways, we tried them plain, with PB (the kids favorite way to eat oats) with bananas and we tried this great Apple Cinnamon version .

Remember when I mentioned that our two apple trees were going crazy (apple cinnamon bread?)  I thought this was a great opportunity to use those apples again.  Just a fair warning, I have been cooking and baking apples o'plenty around here so you will see a lot more apple posts in the near future.

I don't have exact measurements on this recipe but here is what you need
Steel Cut Oats
Apples, chopped
Cinnamon (or if you are out of cinnamon like  was at one point - pumpkin pie spice works great!)

Make the steel cut oats according to the package directions.
When you add in the oats, also add in the chopped apples and the spices.
Once its done serve drizzled with honey.

*Sometimes I add Chia Seeds as well

I have tried all the products in my shipment except the food scale - but I am getting back into my Revolt workouts and meals so I will definitely be using it.  I love the face powder and eye serum too.  Thanks so much Vitacost for the opportunity to review such great products!

Be sure to check out all the great products at Vitacost!
