Personalized Glow in the Dark Sign - Kids Craft

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Plaid Kids Crafts and Blueprint Social. The opinions and text are all mine.

My kids and I have been crafting a lot this summer and enjoying it.  When I was chosen to work with Plaid Kids Craft I was very excited.  The kids and I anxiously awaited the arrival of our box of supplies.  And when it came we were eager to get crafting.

This box contains some Apple Barrel Neon and Glow in the Dark Paints, Glo-Away, stencils and two types of Mod Podge.  Sweet Girl and I brainstormed a bit and she decided she needed a new sign for her room.  We just redid her room and the personalized sign from before no longer fit in with her colors or theme.

We went down to the garage and decided to get to work.  We started by painting the old sign black:

Then we decided on our stencils and colors and started laying everything out:

Then Sweet Girl got to work, I love that Plaid craft products are safe and fun for my kids to use:

First we decided some polka dots were needed.  Polka dots make everything more fun - right?  We used the neon Apple Barrel paints for the dots.  Then we taped down our stencils and Sweet Girl chose the neon pink paint for the letters. ...if it was up to Sweet Girl everything would be neon pink.

Here is where we were at and we went a little "product crazy"  We added the  Mod Podge Extreme Glitter and the Glo Away both very cool products.  The Glo Away paint is a sheer glow in the dark paint.  I tried to photograph it in the dark but couldn't - so for the sake of getting a picture, I took a million pics at all different angles and in all sorts of lightning.  Here is what I got:

When this is in her room with the lights out at night she sees about 5 stars, 1 moon,1 heart and the words: "Sweet Dreams."  Can you see it?

Next up - something fun for Little Mans room.

Here is how you can learn more about Plaid Crafts and their fun products:
