I was contacted to review Onion Crunch, a new crunchy, onion condiment and the only all-natural kosher (parve), vegan and non-gmo crunchy onion topping in the US. I was excited to give this product a try - especially with Thanksgiving closing in on us I was hoping to add something new to help jazz up our feast.
First of all here something you need to know about this product, LOEB'S ONION CRUNCH® is a crispy, fried onion topping made from onions that are naturally low in carbs, low in sodium with no cholesterol and 0 grams of trans fat. Made from 100% real onions. You can sprinkle these onions on anything and we definitely tested that theory. We love sprinkling them on salads, the Onion Crunch adds a great flavor and texture that we absolutely loved. we pulled this container out for our friends one day when we were having a small get together and even the kids liked it. I am definitely using these for our green bean casserole this year too.
I used them for a quick lunch the other day. I was pulling out some leftovers for my lunch and decided to make a stuffed squash dish and used these onions to add flavor and crunch at the end and it was the perfect lunch.
The leftovers I gathered from my fridge:
Roasted butternut squash
cooked quinoa and Basmati rice (I like to mix these together as a side dish)
Laughing Cow Queso Fresco and Chipotle, 1 wedge
What I did:
Heat up the squash and rice and quinoa mixture (oven or microwave.) Slice up the cheese wedge and put it on your squash. Top the squash with rice mixture and sprinkle with some Onion Crunch. Perfect healthy and tasty quick lunch.
