This cake is better than...

The kids and I wanted to make a very special birthday cake for a very special friend of ours and what is better than a cake that is full of sweet caramel and covered in yummy heath chips....thats right nothing!!  You know what cake I'm talking about right?  Yes, this is the famous Better Than Sex cake BUT since the kids made this I refuse to call it that - lets just refer to it as the Better Than Playing on the Wii cake.  That is kind of long -how about simply the Better Than Anything Cake.  That works right?
I know there a few different variations on this simple and sweet cake out there but here is the version we went with for our Better Than Anything cake.  And if you want to know what I thought of the cake or what everyone thought of it for that matter.....definitely better than playing super fun games on the Wii hands down.  As far as better than anything - I'll let you decide for yourself...enjoy!!

recipe from My Litter
What you need:
1 box of chocolate cake mix
1 (14 oz) can of sweetened condensed milk
1 jar of caramel syrup (in the ice cream topping section)
Cool whip
Heath toffee bits (as much as you want - we did about half a bag)

What you do:
Cook the chocolate cake according to the directions on the box.
As soon as you take it out of the oven poke holes all over with a fork...or give the kids some chopsticks and let them go to town.

Now pour the entire (yes I said entire) can of condensed milk over the cake.

And then - yup you guessed it  - pour the entire jar of caramel over the condensed milk
hmmm...wonder if there is a low calorie sub to this cake somewhere...doubt it.

Feast your  eyes on this

Now you need to pop this in the fridge for a little while and let the cake soak up all this ooey gooey yumminess (yes I believe that is the technical term for what is going on here.)

Once its soaked in and you are ready to serve go ahead and top the cake with cool whip and sprinkle with Heath bits.

Dig in!!!

Just kidding!!
