How to Save Money on College Textbooks

I'd like to take a break from our regularly scheduled posting to tell you about a great site I just found out about.  It's called CampusBookRentals.  I have one niece who just finished college and one about to enter her third year -and  I wish I could have let them know about this website sooner so I am going to tell all of you about it now.

I remember when I was in college, I was handed a list of textbooks to buy at the campus bookstore and not one book was ever under $100 - of course you always had the option of selling it back for a tiny itty bitty amount of money.  Now you can go to  CampusBookRentals and rent your books.  I know right - what a great idea!!  Here's what they offer:

Here is a great example of the amount of money you could save by renting your books vs. buying them.   You're looking at $29.68 vs. $174 in this particular example.  I'm so excited I can't wait to tell my niece about this!!!

Here is a  great video and these fabulous ladies will answer all your FAQ:

In addition to the above perks CampusBookRentals  donates to Operation Smile with each textbook rented.  Operation Smile is an international children's medical charity that heals children's smiles, forever changing their lives.  It's a wonderful charity.

I frequently toy with the idea of going back to school for my masters or just taking a few classes on line but I worry a lot about the expense - knowing about this site will now factor into my decision when the time comes.
