Bread Machine Dinner Rolls


I love bread - I do!  It's not helping the fact that I really want to lose weight for the quickly approaching summer. I workout no problem and I'm pretty good at the whole eating in moderation thing.  I don't load up on sweets -  but I love bread.  You know what else I love -I love  making bread.  I love the feel of the dough. I love the aroma of fresh bread baking in the oven.  And what I love most...breaking into a piece of bread right after it comes out of the oven and watching the steam rise and then of course- I love eating bread!  I'm pretty good at making bread too - at least I think I am because the kid across the street who mows our lawn has asked for payment in bread instead of cash (he's a good kid so I give him both.)  
This time I made some yummy soft dinner rolls.  Hubby decided to make some burgers  not too long ago and instead of running to the store for buns I decided to make our own.  These  rolls start off in the bread machine and then finish in the oven.  They were so good that I actually made them again later in the week.  I use to be so intimidated by bread but I make a loaf or two every week now....enjoy!!

What you need:
cup of water
tablespoons of butter  softened
egg 
3 1/4 cups of bread flour
1/4 cup of sugar
teaspoon salt
teaspoons bread machine yeast

What you do:  
   Place all ingredients in the bread machine pan in the order recommended by the manufacturer. Select Dough cycle. 
Remove dough from bread machine pan, using lightly floured hands. Cover and let dough rest for 10 minutes on a lightly floured surface.
Grease a large cookie sheet or spray with nonstick cooking spray. Divide dough into 15 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball. Place the balls about 2 inches apart on cookie sheet. Cover and let rise in warm place 30 to 40 minutes or until double. 
Heat oven to 375°F. Bake the rolls for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.

  1. I love bread also, so I really have to limit when I buy/make it...because I know it'll be gone in exactly two days, no matter how much I buy or make!

    These rolls look fantastic. They'd probably be devoured in one day, if we're being honest. :P

  3. I am the same way, I love bread. If we have fresh bread in the house, I can never stop eating it. These dinner rolls looks great! There is nothing better than fresh homemade bread.
