Nest Ring

I haven't crafted something in quite some time, I have so many ideas and things I want to do but I feel like I can not find the time.  I did however make some time a few months back for a fun day of jewelry making with a good friend of mine.  I don't have step by step photos of this  Nest Ring but I can try to explain it.
Basically you take the wire and load as many beads as you need on to the center, for me that was two one for Sweet Girl and one for Little Man.  The next part is actually pretty easy, you just wrap the wire around the beads to create the nest.  Once you feel it looks good you're done.  Now cut the wire and curl the ends a little with  your pliers.

See that cool loopy thing I did on the band?  I wrapped the  wire (working from the center) around the pliers (wrap both ends and then cross them)  and then move the pliers to the next spot and repeat.  I wish I had pictures but I didn't take any and I cant find a tutorial on line to explain it.  Let me know if you have questions and I'll do my best to explain.  I have a Pinterest board full of inspirations for jewelry making so I am hoping to have more fun posts in the future (with pictures.)

Linking up to these happening parties!

  1. That is SO PRETTY. I can't believe you actually MADE it! It looks like something I'd see in Anthropologie for 100 bucks!

  2. Pretty! I learned how to make the nest ring a couple years ago, but the loopy band on yours is really fun! You could do an entire ring just with that too!
