Its Friday! That means it's time for another Your Recipe- My Kitchen Post.
I love sending my kids to school with a homemade treat in their lunch bags. What I love even more is when that treat is healthy. I bookmarked this recipe from Mommy's Kitchen a while ago and I am so glad I finally had a chance to make these yummy snacks. The recipe yields 40 pb balls and I thought that would be too many so I cut the recipe in half....big mistake! I think next time I may even double this recipe (I need some extra for me - I can't walk by the refrigerator without popping one of these bad boys in my mouth - so good!) Thank you Mommy's Kitchen for this awesome recipe! Enjoy!!
recipe from Mommy's Kitchen
What you need:
1 cup honey
1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter
2 cups dry powdered
milk
3 cups quick or old fashioned oatmeal, uncooked
1 - 2
tablespoons wheat germ
1/2 cup chocolate chips
What you do:
Mix all the ingredients together. Form into balls with hands.
Freeze on a
baking sheet lined with waxed paper until firm. Remove from freezer and store in
a large zip lock bag in the refrigerator.

I love that these are filled with only quality, REAL FOOD ingredients! And they have peanut butter and chocolate...double score.

ReplyDeleteMmMmM! These look great!
ReplyDeleteGreat recipe! I have all of the ingredients except the powdered milk. I could add in something else to keep the consistency good like ground nuts.
