Summer Reads

When I was scheduled for my surgery, I was told I would have 6 weeks of recovery - 6weeks!!  What am I going to do?  Read - right?  My Sister sent me a few books she thought I should read, my Aunt and my Niece also picked out a couple for me.  The good news is - I was feeling great after only two weeks - more good news - my summer reading has piled up and I am so excited about diving into this pile of books!

Whats on your Summer Reading List? - I love books and I love suggestions.

  1. Room is on my to-read list. Have you read Hunger Games? So good. If you've read them and liked them try Divergent. It is similar but also very good. I just started The Game of Thrones (recently turned into an HBO tv series) and am sucked in. It is a fantasy epic-type series.

  2. Here are my recommendations:
I loved "The Help" and "Water for Elephants". Another interesting book is "The birth of Venus". Enjoy!

  3. I'm really glad to hear you're feeling better after only two weeks! Your book list looks better than what I could suggest! I had to do such high-brow reading in university that now I love easy, light fiction and biographies. I call them junk food for the brain! I'm a wee bit embarrassed to tell you that next on my reading list is the latest Sookie Stackhouse novel from Charlaine Harris!

  5. Hey Danielle, found you via Comment love day with FLOBs. :)

I've just finished reading 'The Secret Lives of Dresses' which I would recommend.

Also either of Lisa Genova's books Left Neglected or Still Alice are good reads too.
