I pinned this idea this morning and could not wait to make my own. Here is the picture from Pinterest:

And here is how we made our own;
Step 1 - Have the kids pick out 2 colors they want to work with:
Step 2 - Have them choose the color for their hands, trace the hand (only one and then fold paper in half) and cut hands out.
Step 3 - fan the other sheet of paper and cut off a square.
Step 4 - on the strip have the kids write "This Much"(or if your 5 year old gets angry because he wrote one letter incorrectly and throws the paper and crayon - you can write it)
Step 5 - Have the kids (or you) write "Daddy I Love You" on one hand
Last step - glue strip to inside of hands and let dry.

This is super adorable and wish I had the idea earlier (working at a preschool and didn't have as great an idea). Keeping fingers crossed i remember this for a whole year. Thanks
ReplyDeleteAww that is super cute! Kind of makes me wish I had kids just so that we'd have an excuse to make these.
