Simple Sauteed Cabbage

When I posted my Kielbasa & Cabbage recipe I mentioned that I would be posting a quick and easy cabbage side dish.  Here it is!  I don't know why I hadn't thought of making cabbage in the past but I grabbed a head in the store one day and sauteed it up and it was delish.  And since it was a winner with the kids too (at least with Sweet Girl - Little Man is harder to please) I just keep making it.  Enjoy!

What you need:
1 head of cabbage (any kind will do)
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons olive oil
salt and pepper

What you do:
Quarter you cabbage and thinly slice it.
Melt butter with oil in saute pan.
Add cabbage one - two handfuls at a time, giving it a chance to wilt and make room for the rest of the cabbage.
Season with S&P.
Turn up the heat a bit at the end and continue to cook and stir. You wan it to be tender with a bit of crispness.

  1. So glad to see another cabbage post here. In fact, I came to your blog to let you know that I made your cabbage and sausage (I used smoked sausage) recipe and my hubby went on and on how much he liked it (kids did not, but I will definitely try again).
I think I told you already that in Georgia we cooked lots of cabbage and sauteed cabbage as a side dish is common there.
The only thing I changed from your recipe was that I added Rottelle's Original can to the mix (along with Italian Style diced tomatoes). It was a winner with my hubby. So, thanks for the inspiration! He kept saying he did not think he'd like it, but how much he actually loves the dish! Thanks! :)

  4. When you go there to talk Blade & Soul Gold about to him, use your program to the swamps of the southern east, to get a program of non-renewable power tar, and then come up with some of the Sulphur (sulfur) and then crushed it with the Pestle (Pestle). Going back to Iowerth you, he provides you with a Information O 'Bangs does not do Sulphur (sulfur --- the Tracking program, found in the southern east, to Pestle (Pestle) crushed.Quicklime (lime) --- get some from Varrock (of Canifis the road) northeast or Tyrannwyn the southern part of my own limestone. Those used in the heating units and then when having a pot with a Pestle (pestle) take a positionCheapest GW2 Gold up.
