This was one of the first projects I made with my
Cricut
. This is my attempt at teaching my kids about organization. I try (over and over again) to teach them that "Everything has a home." I seriously must repeat this to them over and over and over and.. well you get what I'm saying. But when time for cleanup hit they would throw everything they were playing with into the many random plastic bins we had (this drove me crazy - I hate when things get mixed up. Little Pet Shop and Polly Pocket pieces were hanging out with the zoo animals and Playmobile - not OK) I used the Zoobaloo Cartridge
to cut out these animal shapes on vinyl and then put them on this plain red bucket that I got at Hobby Lobby. The kids actually thought the bucket was cute and they liked carrying it around with them which made for an easier cleanup. I plan on labeling a few more buckets and containers this same way. It helps the kids to have the visual reminder that everything indeed does have a home. It also eliminates the "but I forgot where to put it" excuse when its time to clean up.
