Last Minute Quick Gift

This is a very simple trivet/sign I threw together as a last minute gift.  We were going to the neighbors for a party and I hate to show up empty- handed. I made this quickly and wrapped up some yummy peanut butter cups and off we went. This is  a large tile I had from Lowes (I'm sure it cost it me less than $1.00). I printed up a cute saying on some vinyl  and then added felt circles to the bottom.  I am hoping nothing happens to the vinyl if this actually is used as a trivet for something hot.  I asked a few crafty friends and they were pretty certain it would be fine.  Does anyone else have first hand knowledge - will the vinyl hold up to an actual hot dish?

Just like many of you - my posts are going to thin out as I attempt to walk away from the computer and spend time with my family.  Thank you to my followers for helping me get this new blog going.  And to all the readers and everyone out in blogland -

Happy Holidays!!  Eat Drink and Celebrate!

  2. That's a cute idea. you really get a lot of use out of your vinyl cutter- Is it a Cricket- or whatever that's called. I doubt if anyone would put something super hot on it. They'll probably decorate with it. Have a lovely holiday.
